Triptych. 1 + 2 Enlarged microscopic sections  3. The living organism. The artwork explores the fundamental materials and properties of life. Essential materials & elements upon which universe and man are made up of. Carbon, hydrogen, phosphorus, calcium, oxygen and nitrogen.

Life itself has remained a mystery since ancient times, despite countless attempts to find a definition in both science and philosophy. Today, the synthetic biology creates a new sense of uncertainty about what life is. The triptych highlights the holistic aspects of the activities of the hospital of Malmö by capturing the dialogue between macrocosm and microcosm (human - bodily, mental and spiritual) The artistic interpretation cuts horizontally and vertically through the meaning of the site, considering both the functionality and the architecture.
The triptych consist of five objects of glass- like enlarged microscopic sections painted with oxygen with the above mentioned materials. 16000 x 1600  x 20 mm – standing separately in the entrance. A microscopic section of calcium metal – is placed on the grassy surface of the exterior terrace. In the vast atrium a mobile sculpture hangs and extends to human presence and daylight. Diameter 2500 mm. Extend range 0- 9 m.
