Robotics. Science and the performing arts. A transdisciplinary work creating meeting points that challenge and expand our perception of what the dramatic arts can do.
The scenic work, is based on the impulses of bodily presence, facts and fiction. Via kaleidoscopic prisms the impulse is shown on large projections, that interact with the very bodily performance and objects on the stage, in real-time. Physical movements and behavior encapsulated and visualized as fragmented data along with facts presented by the robotic scientist Danica Kragic Jensfelt, professor at the School of Computer Science and Communication at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH. The audience is given emotional and cerebral impulses, with the intention to reach behind the direct narrative and launch their own. The work explores the relationship between human (muscles, consciousness, senses) and non-human (machine, ai, sensors). A staged performance lecture that questions the possibilities of the future. bodily functions, abilities and boundaries – technically, morally, economically, democratically and the format of creating meeting points that can challenge and expand our perception in new ways.
