TAS has re-designed the upcoming 18th century exhibition at the Museum of Design and Craft, Gothenburg, closed since decades.
The first room sets the introduction of the 18th century, as the visitors is guided along a strong axis to the following of the total exhibition - the milieu of the Stockholm and the Masreliez gallery The spatial design creates an associative link between the 18th century and the contemporary identity of Röhsska museet. The spatial elements of the exhibition emerge from the architectonic framework of the 18th century, geometrical frames and moldings. All in pastel colour, highlightend by contemporary strokes of neon. The graphics emerge from the ornamental world of motifs and flirts with the lavish forms and the swarmy natural feeling of mussels, bats or some other more or less bizarre object of the Rokoko era.
