Power &Poetry . The film ‘Magt’ explores the concept of exercising power with humility.
The film is projected onto 23 screen sections spanning over a 140 meter of a total screen, recalling an emotional journey through Danish War history - a staging of man, body, power and humility. The moving visual, inspired of the painting "Titanernes Fald" by Cornelius van, is accomplished with an atmospheric sound collage manipulating with the experience of time and place. "By introducing the poetry of sound and moving images, the exhibition is provided with the presence of human and body. “The movie is not a narrative but an eternal march forward, through the wars” says Johan Carlsson
Materiality. Led, metal net, acrylic, acrobatic performances, artifacts. In order to make this happen we had to develop a new principle for using low resolution led panels for 23 individual screens spanning between 2500 x 800 – 2400 mm.
